Bingo Night at The Dogpound

On October 23rd, a select few of our team members attended the Bingo Night at The Dogpound Sports Bar and Arcade.

Team members Devin Lemos, Micah Otero-Mendez, and Allan Guzman attended the fundraiser event at The Dogpound organized by Zephyrhills High School’s JROTC Robotics Team. This event was held to raise funds for the JROTC Robotics Team, and the GPS Robotics team took this opportunity to communicate with their team about designs, exchange ideas, and discuss future VEX competitions.

The Bingo Night itself involved paying to participate in the Bingo games and buying tickets to enter a ticket raffle for half of the ticket money (for example, if there were $200 paid for tickets in total, the winner of the raffle would be paid $100). The GPS Robotics Team funded the JROTC Robotics Team with about $40 and won a total of $80 from the ticket raffle!

This night was additionally beneficial for the GPS Robotics team, as we successfully communicated with the owner of The Dogpound and obtained authorization to conduct fundraisers at their location.

We would love to thank the JROTC Robotics Team and the Owner of The Dogpound Wendy Turmel for helping us and having us at the Bingo Night.
