On the schedule this week our members will be busy with starting up this season of FRC. We thank all the members of the club for their diligent work as the season kicks off. It will be a fun and chaotic season, so we wish our hard-working members the best of luck on this journey.
Monday
Now that kickoff has passed, the club members will now work on post-kickoff designing, planning, and research. All the teams will have their hands full at the beginning of this season to succeed for this FRC season, and we thank our members for their diligent work. We hope to work hard as a team for the closing in of the FRC season.
Electrical
The electrical team reviewed all the game rules related to electrical and used Chief Delphi to research batteries for the robot. The team also practiced crimping and itemizing what they need and have in a parts list.
Mechanical
Mechanical team used a hub to document the bill of materials and they planned a build a bump for the robot. The bill of materials is essentially an itemized bill of what mechanical needs and the price of said needs. It’s very important to manage finances especially with robotics as the price of things can be high so its important to document these things.
Programming
worked on where people in their division would be working. They created a two week plan to assign everyone jobs. They will be pseudo coding, talking to mechanical, mapping, fixing lnm eight and learn it, and research. Each task has been put to specific members and the hope is to finish it in two weeks.
Media
worked on the start of some new mascot designs for our club as its imperative to have a multitude of designs so that we are prepared for FIRST. We went for some more animal-like designs this time and we hope for the decision on mascots to be made soon.
