FRC 2026 Kick Off

The week of January 5th was a short due to teacher planning day and Winter Break.
Our first day back from break, January 5th, was shortened due to Mr. Barna, the club Advisor, having to leave early. This day the club focused on preparing for the 2026 season kick off.
Media
With the FRC season starting, Media Team focused on documenting and taking pictures of club members working, making and editing videos for social media, and finishing our designs for our mascot.
Electrical
The Electrical team prepared their members for FRC kick off by going over the rules of the previous game specific to electrical components and requirements. The electrical lead, Adam, took care to explain rules and safety procedures to our electrical members to ensure maximum safety efforts and progress are put into place.
Mechanical
The Mechanical team split their members to work on various things this week. The team used this week to confirm that shaft collars on the new 3D printed prototypes properly lock around 1/2″ hex axle and confirmed that their printed bearings hold the hex axle and fit with the holes drilled in separate pieces of aluminum. Another group worked on organizing the club closet. They also focused on practicing CADing and researched different swerve modules for FRC and organized the club closet for itemization.
Programming
The Programming team focused on GitHub to train programming skills specific to the robot software and hardware they will work with for this season. They worked hard to check all the skills so that everyone is prepared for FRC season.
