This week, the G.P.S. Robotics team was filled with tons of productive behavior from VEX teams and team B.O.B. (Built Over Bought), working harder and harder each day.

First things first, our very own High Stakes field has at long last been set up and is ready for team members to test their VEX robots. After long weeks of work, VEX teams finally have the choice to run their robots and test the code they will use in future VEX competitions to see what they can fix and improve upon.

How did we finish our High-Stakes field? Well, rather than having team B.O.B. physically produce all of the parts for the competition, the G.P.S. Robotics team decided to buy all the parts used in a real High-Stakes VEX competition.

Next, let us understand what our VEX teams have been working on.

Team Viltrumites have finished their chassis and drivetrain, which leads them to work on their intake system. After a long and challenging design process, Team Viltrumites finished designing the intake system for their robot and went on to attach it to their chassis, making stellar progress.

Team Metalheads has started taking a new approach to their drivetrain, which required disassembling it and redesigning components and flaws of their previous design. While this may have caused minor setbacks, these changes have vastly improved the efficiency of their robot.

Both VEX teams have effectively utilized the High-Stakes field parts to perfect their designs, as the team has recently gained access to these parts.

Team B.O.B. has continued researching their very own F.R.C. robot. One main discovery this week involves finding unique and specific ways to wire the F.R.C. robots, as wiring on these robots is extremely difficult compared to what the team has experience with. Team B.O.B. hasn’t halted their hard work researching, as they watch countless videos to gain experience and knowledge with every source available to them.

Overall, every team member has been putting in their best efforts to finish their VEX robots and any task at hand; we look forward to finally testing our robots on the High-Stakes field and having a friendly, domestic competition.
